A Place to Start. A Path to Grow.

Updated: Oct 5
Every player comes to Compton Little League at a different point. Some will arrive with a glove for the first time. Others will already know the game and be ready for greater competition. Our baseball and softball divisions are designed to give each player an appropriate place to begin—and a clear path to grow.
The early divisions introduce the fundamentals: throwing, catching, hitting, running the bases and learning how the game is played. As players advance, the field, rules, pace and level of competition gradually change with them. Skills become more demanding, decision-making becomes more important, and players assume greater responsibility as teammates and competitors.

That progression is intentional. Development should challenge young athletes without taking the enjoyment out of the game.
Compton Little League welcomes both new and experienced players. A child does not need years of organized baseball or softball experience to belong here. Coaches are expected to teach, encourage improvement and help players develop from wherever they begin.
Division placement is based primarily on Little League age and eligibility requirements, with available programs organized accordingly. Families can review our Baseball and Girls Softball divisions, determine their player’s League Age, and find the program appropriate for the coming season.
From a first swing in Tee Ball to the more advanced levels of Little League baseball and softball, the objective remains the same: give every player an opportunity to learn the game, earn the next challenge and enjoy growing with a team.
