COMPTON LITTLE LEAGUE BASEBALL
Learn the Game. Develop Your Skills. Grow as a Player.
Compton Little League Baseball gives young players the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of baseball, develop their skills and experience the game in a positive team environment.
As players grow, the game grows with them. Instruction, field dimensions, rules and the level of competition progress through the different stages of Little League Baseball, allowing players to build on what they have learned while taking on new challenges.
Along the way, players develop more than baseball skills. They learn the importance of teamwork, preparation, discipline, sportsmanship and respect for the game.
Whether a child is picking up a glove for the first time or returning with years of experience, Compton Little League is a place to learn, compete and keep growing.
BASEBALL DIVISIONS & PLAYER DEVELOPMENT
A Place to Learn at Every Stage
Little League Baseball is structured so players can develop progressively as they grow in age, experience and ability.
Younger players begin by learning the fundamentals—throwing, catching, hitting, fielding, base running and understanding how the game is played. As players advance, they encounter increasingly competitive play, expanded rules and greater opportunities to develop their individual and team skills.
Compton Little League will organize its 2027 baseball divisions based on eligible League Ages, player registration and the appropriate Little League division structure.
Specific divisions and age groupings offered for the 2027 season will be announced as registration and team formation move forward.

Intermediate Baseball provides a transition between the traditional Little League field and the full-size baseball diamond.

JUNIOR LEAGUE
League Ages 12–14
Junior League Baseball moves players onto a conventional 90-foot baseball diamond with a 60-foot, 6-inch pitching distance.
Players continue developing the physical skills, game knowledge and competitive experience needed for more advanced baseball.
